Our Four Key Areas of Focus
Nirvana Behavioral Solutions prides itself in targeting four areas of focus that address a holistic, integrated treatment modality.
1. Secure Housing + Stable Environment
Maslow’s hierarchy of needs indicates that basic physiological and safety needs, including shelter, sleep, and employment must be met in order to progress towards other unmet needs, such as respect and self-esteem. We work alongside clients to establish and maintain secure housing, implement structure and routines, and locate stable employment, should these needs be identified.
2. A Purpose Driven Lifestyle
Each client is provided a plan of care, based on individual strengths and unmet needs, with an aim for them to live out the purpose they were created for and move from a life of survival to a life of significance. Our teams support clients as they discover and set SMART goals to achieve on this journey to self-empowerment. Monthly Family Team Meetings (FTMs) are held to review and discuss progress towards these goals.
3. Effective Therapeutic Interventions
All therapeutic interventions are evidence-based and aligned with treatment plans developed by our clinical team. Interventions range from pro-social skills to communication skills, from anger management to CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). Interventions include Nurturing Families, Seeking Safety, Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Assertive Community Treatment.
4. Community Involvement & Integration
Our services focus on identifying and utilizing natural and community supports and engaging those individuals in services. Our clients and their families are encouraged to engage in extracurricular activities and support groups to create connections with others.
Our providers lead sessions with clients that target individual skills and needs and create a safe space to integrate those learned skills into everyday practice. This grants them the opportunity to live a self-determined life in their own community.
